Things to Do
There just isn't enough time to do all the wonderful things that the Mark Twain Lake area offers - - but you can try! Folks come from many miles distant to try their hand with the bass, walleye, crappie, catfish and other finny fighters.

Boating and waterskiing, of course, are equally popular with visitors to the Lake area. There are numerous launch sites and facilities for boating and swimming, some of which you can find on our web links page.

Historic Hannibal of Tom Sawyer fame is just 30 miles distant on the Mississippi River. Shop, visit museums there or enjoy dining aboard a riverboat. For antique hunters, both Hannibal and nearby Perry have much to offer.

Anglers will find thriving populations of catfish, bass, crappie, walleye, bluegill and sunfish. Bass weigh in over eight pounds, crappie run more than nine inches, there are some walleye almost two feet in length and numerous HUGE catfish are hooked each year.

Come try your luck!
